To get a 350Z or 370Z?
I just want to get some input on getting which car. I'm deciding between a 2007-2008 350Z or a 2009 370Z.
IF I go with a 350Z, it would be a 2007-2008 Grand Touring (GT Wheels + Brembos) 6MT Coupe (Most likely with nav) and their nav is a separate unit so installing an aftermarket double din wouldn't be an issue. Also it would be much cheaper than a 370Z. IF I go with a 370Z, I'd probably be aiming at a 2009 6MT Sport + Touring. I have to specifically look for one without nav so I can do aftermarket double din HU. I have no plans on tracking the car so performance (or lack of performance of the 350Z) isn't really a concern for me. Now considering I've driven both, love them both, and have no issue with the 350z being a predecessor (or the lack of technology it has vs a 370z), would it be stupid to go with the 350Z? Honestly I am satisfied with what the 350Z comes with and the 370z is basically bonus. Would it be stupid to get the 350Z and save a bit of $ or should I just get a 370Z (pay more and get more)? If you really like the 350 and don't have any issues with it, why oh why would you spend thousands upon thousands more for a 370? This seems like a no-brainer. Buy the 350 and put a little extra in your 401k.

I think the 350 sounds like a good option for you unless the 370 is well within your budget then by all means go with that. The drawback of getting the 350 might be later regretting not going ahead and getting the 370

Ive never owned a 350 but Ive driven a modded one a few times. The car felt better and sounded better than my 370z but than again it was modded. Honestly if you're not into performance or modding than go for a 350 if you want to save money or go for a 370z if you can afford it no problem because it does seem like a big upgrade from a 350z interior. To me its a really hard choice but sometimes I do regret taking a 370 over a 350.

Both of are equally good. The choice is your wallet. You want extra cash then get the 350z. I some times miss the little things on my 350z.

I'm having a similar dilemma. I am trading my Z06 in in a year and a half or so and am unsure if I want another 'Vette, or maybe a Cobalt.
Seriously though, the 350Z's I have raced, ridden in, looked at, were pretty cheap looking/feeling inside and slow as a dog compared to the 370Z's I looked at, drove, etc. Get the 370. It's a no-brainer unless the money is an issue, and then, get what you can afford as you know that better than anyone. |

Lol I do plan on getting a 370Z eventually. My thoughts were that I can either get a used 2009 370Z within the year and be at that due to budget, or I get a 350Z Grand Touring for the time being and then maybe for the last year of the 370Z, I'll pick up a new 370Z (maybe 2014-2015?).
I can understand the 370z being a major interior upgrade over a 350z (referring to the 2003-2005). They got a bit revamped from 2006-2008 so it's not nearly as bad, and I'm also going for the GT model so it's got leather + navi too. Also I'm not into the whole "racing scene" so performance isn't necessarily an issue for me. The Z's in general have ~300+ hp and it's more than most cars on the road anyways, granted if I need the power. Ultimately I am just debating if it's worth the savings or worth spending more. Just seeking more input from the forums since I got a few friends IRL saying to go for the 350Z GT since it's still pretty siiick, and some saying it's stupid since I'd be getting a last generation model. Also to add, I found a few 350Z GTs right now and they are listed ~ $2000-3000 cheaper than a 370Z Sports + Touring (If that makes any difference in this debate) Last edited by Duplicity807; 05-23-2011 at 10:49 PM. |

370z! Better interior, 19" Rays, big brake kit, SRM, Homelink rearview mirror AND sexier hips! Need I say more?
Listen to me: The important thing is that you make a decision based on what you want or can afford (if money's part of the equation). Don't bother listening to your friends, because ultimately you're the one that's going to be putting the cash down (not your friends). Either way, you'll end up with a sick ride. You can ask a bunch of Z enthusiasts what they think and they'll fill up 15 pages telling you what they think is best...but it still all amounts to the same thing I already mentioned above. Enjoy your ride...keep us updated...and post pics, because we all LOVE seeing siiick a Z! Last edited by happytheman; 05-23-2011 at 11:28 PM. |

While I like the 350z there are way too many around for my liking. When I see a car 4-5 times a day it loses some of it's luster.
So far I usually only see 1-2 / 370z's a week. There is something to be said for exclusivity.
