Extreme rubbernecking
My parents visited me this weekend and my dad was dying to go for a ride in my Z. So i drove him around for about a half hour before stopping at a Starbucks to talk to him for a bit. From where we were sitting we could see my car, and about ten minutes after we sat down, a couple highschoolers came up to my car to check it out.
Now, I don't mind people checking out my car, because I've done it before too, but this was some crazy rubbernecking. They walked all around it a couple times and even got down and really looked at the front and tail ends, and it looked like they were possibly trying to see the underside too lol. They also managed to do all this while staying a foot away at all times like it had an invisible shield around it. All told, they spent about five minutes checking it out before moving on. Has anyone eperienced rubbernecking to this degree before? |

^ I work at the airport, and I came out to find the FAA guys who work in the tower taking cell pictures. Guys are probably pulling down $80K+ and they are taking pics of my car. lol

Yea went to eat today, soon as I got out of the car a 300z parks a couple spots down as I walk into the restaurant. As I'm walking he says care if I drool on your car. I just kinda laughed and kept going while he checked it out, funny thing is he never even came in to eat. That has probably been the weirdest.

Same thing happened to me a few days ago. Over an hour and a half dinner, i could see about 20 people coming up and checking out the car, walking circles around it, leaning up against the windows trying to see inside the car, driving by slowly to stare at it, etc...

I stopped at the local Sport Clips for a haircut yesterday. I happened to park in front of a shop next door to where I was going. A guy (the owner, it turned out) immediately came out and began checking the Z before I even got out. He knew exactly what it was and we had a nice chat. After my hair cut, all the women in the shop came out and checked it over inside and out. LOL. I've never had that kind of a reaction to any ride I've ever owned and frankly...I love it.

Yes. A week after I bought the Z I was buying a CLK 500 and one of the salesmen and a mechanic spent about 5 minutes or so going over the Z in detail.
Anywhere else I usually get a lot of looks. Had some young kids go ga ga over it outside of a Starbucks. I even overheard one say, "well, it's only got 280 hp." I lol'd.

I get a lot of stares from other 350Z drivers. Usually they give me a thumbs up. I've had one guy pull up next to me and start revving lol.
Just this past weekend, i parked it in front of a starbucks. The car got a lot of points, stares, and second looks. |

I had two ladies pull up to me at a stop light in a Kia and asked "Hey how's about an even trade?" We all laughed and I said "No offense but that's a Kia, unless you've got something I don't know about hidden in the trunk there's no way in hell this one's going to be even."
