During the test drive Jeremy said that the Z was amazing fun to drive. He thought it was a "racing hen" (alluding to the silly Jurasic Park theme). The review was a true endorsement. And, the Z won! |

And, as I said, at the end, when he delivers his JeffBlue sig line, I think he was telling the truth from his perspective: yes, the Z was great fun to drive, but when it came down to brass tacks, he preferred the Beemer. Also, at the end of the piece, who else but Richard was sitting behind the wheel of the Z4 in the studio, praising its good looks and some such additional nonsense. All that, for me at least, completely spoiled anything positive they said about the Z. I wanted a lovefest and instead got a back-handed slap. At least, that's how *I* saw it. YMMV.

I took it when he said, "buy the BMW because its more luxurious, slower, not as entertaining, less performance" or whatever it was he said at the end more like this... (translation) "As much as I love BMW over the Z. I have to say the Z is the clear winner. I'd only buy the bimmer because I'm that BIAS. Aryan cars for me only, but the japs get this one! This time!" That's what I got from that. Either way, it was great to see him theoretically eat crow.

I thought the video was good. The Brits have a very sarcastic sense of humor, and Jeremy didn't have much bad to say about the Z. If you go back, Jeremy hated the 350z. He stated it was fat and slow (like the Americans if I remember right). After the review on the 370z I was more intrigued by the Z and told myself the 370 was the model to look at over the 350 and other similar sport cars in that price range. My Nismo's been putting a smile on my face ever since. In addition, every car reviewer on the planet is up BMW's ***. Just take a look at any of the major car mag publications. They are always BMW and Honda are the best, all else are rubbish.
