I have a question to you guys who bought 370z w/ sports package!
Hello
My question is this ... If you guys turn off your Sync Rev Match, then is it just regular manual sports car? I heard that SRM doesn't fully off even though you turn it off. Is it true? |

I'm pretty sure SRM turns all the way off. What you may have heard about is the debate (on 350's and G3[57]'s in the past, in any case) that VDC never fully turns off. I don't remember the details, but it seems like some of the VDC functionality was permanent, or at least some people thought so.

Yes, on the G35's the VDC was never completely off. I witnessed this one time when I got the back end stuck in some snow off my driveway. Once rear wheel spin started to get high it started pulsing the front brakes even though I was stationary, weird.
Anyway as far as SRM goes, wstar is correct. Off is off. |

Also pretty sure it turns off all the way.... tho I can't be sure as I haven't had it off much. Its one of those things I was leary of when I heard about it, but after useing it I love it (I never could perfect heal toe, sometimes, but never like srm).

Well, when it's off, it's definitely NOT rev matching. I'm not sure what it would do if were only 'semi' off.
While the purist in me wants to heel-toe and rev match on my own, the perfection of SRM has me using it all the time. In the end, it's clearly better for the transmission to keep in engaged as I'm never going to be better than it. |
