Performance Motorsports in NY is doing a great deal on oil cooler kits! I don't know which sizes because they offer 3; it would be better! I know their deals

I don't know which sizes because they offer 3; it would be better! I know their deals are with installation and I've only heard great things about them. But I do understand you are in Canada and that may be a far drive. Oil cooler is definetly a need on the list of parts for the 370Z if you are a serious driver and care about the Z.

Fuel Injector Service: Don't let dealers do it. Especially on a new(er) car. Buy a bottle of Techron, the size that treats 20 gal. of fuel. It runs about $8. Drive your car until the low fuel warning light comes on, pull into a gas station, add the Techron to the near empty tank, fill up, and do it again every 5K miles. You will likely never need fuel injector service by a dealer.
You are welcome. |

i think i might have the same problem as the op than maybe? Mine runs around 220 on the street driving. The car has only 150 miles on it. I understand that i might run the car a little harder than most on the street but i dont see the reason for my temp being there when cruising at around 3k rpm

Mine pushes up to 190 - 200 when its up to 85 degree weather outside.. that's daily traffic in northern va/dc which sucks pretty bad. i haven't seen the temp go above.. even spirited driving.. spoke to the dealer, he said same things you said that.
If I driving on a track on a regular basis, oil cooler will help.. But this car has been tested for daily grind by the labcoats in Japan pretty extensively. If they tested it and stick to their word, I am good. I got an extended warranty just for peace of mind..

And the dealer FINALLY got the oil cooler in stock. Over 3 months, un-freaking believable. Gonna bring the car down Monday to get it installed.
Also a few days ago I got back from over a week driving my old Subaru Impreza while I visited some relatives up in Washington. Man that thing felt dog slow with me and my dad in it. I really forgot how slow that thing is after being used to my 370z. It felt really good to be back in the 370z when I got back =) |

I've noticed that my Z runs around 220-230 on the highway. But that is with triple digit heat as well. If I start running my car at a track or autocross I plan on getting an oil cooler installed as well.

Which it sucks because Nissan knows of the oil temp problem/issue on most of the 370Zs even if you are not tracking the car.
