Honestly, between the two cars a lot has changed. Basically Nissan went back and did a ground up design with taking its knowledge from the 350z and using some of it to inspire the 370z design. For the average person they will just say, oh its a refresh but really it is a solid overall between the two cars. Both of which were fantastic and great in their own ways.

ok, that commercial ROCKED. I've never seen that one. Was that ever aired here??? what the..... I must have been living under a rock.
But yes, I knew that it was a complete overhaul, but I just wanted to educate the masses of folks that didn't know about our new Z's at that meet. I know more now of what to say at the next meet

He's saying they didn't take any features from the 350z except the Z part. Op you have to do your research if your gonna be a z driver. Seriously!
Do you know what a 240z is? Figure that out and it all falls into place. I was gonna defend the 03-08 z but nah! I see you lost drivers on the road lol...

The 350 is a 3.5l while the 370 is a 3.7 ( the name )
Also the 370 wheelbase is shorter by 4inches and is barely wider then the 350 believe. and everything else you listed |

The 370Z is more of an evolution thtn a revolution in design. EVERYTHING was improved a little bit. The only exception was the 2004 1/2 350Z, it was FLAWLESS!
The weight confusion is that in 2006, the 350Z gained 150 lbs. So the early 350Z's with the less powerful engine (DE - 283 hp) actually weighed less than a 370Z and the post 2006 Z's with the more powerful engines (revup and HR - up to 306 hp) weighed more than the 370Z.

Which was never the intent. When the 2009's came out they pretty much dominated the niche of new, affordable performance. Other manufacturers have lately managed to challenge for that position hence many threads on the 5.0 and calling for a 370Z refresh.
