Trying to well but

I have been trying to sell my 03 H2 to buy a new z well things aren't going good in the selling, not one offer. I tried trading it in today and they offered 11,000 come on I know things are not good but damn don't low ball. I need to sell this found a z I want this thing has to go.

Parkerman 05-02-2011 08:44 PM

With gas prices the way they are.. I would have taken 11k for an 8 year old gas guzzler. I quickly checked to see what the average price of a used H2, I was actually shocked at how much people are wanting for them.. Someone would almost have to pay me to take one.

kenchan 05-02-2011 08:45 PM

How much were those things new?

Abk370z 05-02-2011 08:47 PM

The same happened to me when I was trying to sell my XRunner to buy a 350Z back in 08.

Nobody wanted the truck because of the gas prices and it was mint.

It looks like we're all going to have to adopt Papo's avatar.

My Prius went from 18K to 21.5 in 3 months

errett 05-03-2011 06:03 AM

I traded my 06 H2 in January 2010 and got 28k for it. Hard vehicles to sell these days. Before I bought mine in 9/06, the used trucks cost almost what a new one went for. As soon as I bought mine, the whole oil skyrocketing happened and then the value crashed. I moved mine once the gas prices stabilized for a while and I hoped people would start buying them again. Plus my warranty was about to expire and it needed to go!

Mine was listed on Autotrader for over a year with only lowball offers made before I traded it.

Good luck...

Depending on your H2's mileage I'd trade my Z to you. I've been looking to get a new Z later on anyway...

Lemers 05-03-2011 06:58 AM

Yeah yellow is a dead color...

My wife is hinting about trading in the '07 explorer V8 before the value drops out of it. I try explaining that it's paid off and there isn't any 7 pax vehicles that would make another car payment worth it.

OP, American's have short memories. Wait until gas prices drop and people will forget what it's like to pay over $100 to fill up.

Also, don't forget to let people know about killing gypsies and the whole magnet thing when you advertise it!

it gets 45mpg on regular, requires no maintainence virtually. i get over it with gas prices being 4 bucks a gallon.

plus you are comparing it to a hummer 2, really? what does it do that makes it great duh

I have witnessed a stock H2 drive about 70 feet through mud/water where the water was touching the bottom of the windows. Multiple H2s did this in forward and reverse at various speeds. One even got to the end and put it in reverse and came back.

I found that to be very impressive.

Until you have owned one, I don't think you can understand just how amazing a vehicle they are, especially in bad weather. Too bad they had the build quality of a GM product or I would have kept mine.
