Just came across this. Surprising outcome! And who knew about the TT-RS brakes. Oh yeah, who can speak German? I made out about 10 words. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFGZA8F1UH8

What I got from it (which most people can I'm just condensing it). The Z wins...here's the breakdown
Nissan 370z -Great/fun handling -Solid brakes -Decent price, attainable without being ridiculous -Got marked down for "leistung" which, best I can tell, means performance or power. Coming from German cars I can see where they may feel power is low haha Audi TTRS -Good engine/power -Good handling -Mediocre braking -High price Z wins!!! If anyone could elaborate further please do, this is just my quick and dirty version of a worthwhile video! |

My crappy work computer wont allow me to see the vid. Thats a strange comparo. The TT is like 60k right? And its alot faster. But props on the Z win.

I think they were comparing 0-100 kph (0-60) performance at the end
There time was 5.9.... slowest I've seen. Silly Germans were bagging it me thinks... Edit: Even the TT RS should be under 4 seconds.

TT-RS can't break 4s. It comes in at 4.5-4.9 which is on par with the quickest of the 370Z times.
More interestingly is that the TT-RS was less than a second quicker around their track. I think the Z just takes some skill to drive quickly, and puts down the most impressive times when you trash the OEM RE050As and put some real tires on it (aka RE-11s).

Either car is a win. But at $60k I would be looking at a cayman unless the Audi is a lot better.

The TT-RS is ridiculous EXPENSIVE! So best bang for the buck= 370Z!
...doesn't matter what numbers the TT put down.

I'd take the 370 over the TT any day. I'm not a fan of the new TTs, though I did enjoy the older ones. We almost bought one for the GF a couple years ago.

This car is impressive..These are the numbers from car and driver. But the U.S. does not get this car. We get an Audi without the 7 speed dual clutch. We will only see a 6 speed manual. On the flip side, U.S. spec cars will have 360hp, not 335hp. The cars will likely be just as fast as one another since the extra hp will offset the faster shifting DCT.
