Car backed off bigtime and traction control light started flashing, just like it does when I do the same and forget to turn off the VDC.

When you turn VDC off traction control is still on, but only at around 10% of the level it would be normally.

![]() ![]() You triggered ABLS. Excessive inside wheelspin or even excessive rear wheelspin relative to the front wheels will active it and pulse the rear brakes momentarily. It can be disabled by unplugging the module under the center console near the e-brake. I leave it alone, it almost never interferes with what I am doing and to trigger it on the street you have to drive like a maniac.

I thought the Traction Control light came on regardless of whether VDC (not DVC) was on or off.
Basically just letting you know hey your spinning your tires. I could be wrong though, I'll have to check later. I'm sure someone knows the answer to this though. |

in the OM it says even with the VDC off, the ABS & ABLS (Active brake limited slip) will still operate. I dont mind the ABS, but the whole reson to turn of traction control is just that

I know the traction light still flashes with VDC off but I did not know the throttle still shuts down too.

Yeah...it definitely is a drag. I like to get sprirted sometimes and this will put a damper on things! Shuda bought a 458 Ferrari! Turn that mannitino to "OFF" and you're on your own baby!!! No safety nets there!

If VDC is OFF, it's OFF unless you're stepping on the brakes. I've done a 180 on the track after cooking a turn, and trust me, the car wasn't helping me get out of it. If you step on the brakes, the VDC system reengages while the pedal is depressed though.
