@ m4a1mustang....arent ALL sports cars short wheelbased? Is the Caymen or 911 wheelbase significantly larger than the 370, some of the 911's do close to 200mph. Now I know the 370Z is not on a GT3 or Turbo 9111 level but I wouldnt expect it to be so loose. Its all good. I have seen what it does enough to not want to take it there again. Thanks to you, leighsppd and honeybadger for your input though.

entrapment?

m4a1mustang 04-29-2011 04:04 PM

It's not entrapment. You don't have to race the guy just because he's acting like a d-bag. :)

It's just like that show "Bait Car" on TrueTV or whatever that channel is.

Or maybe he preferred to just look at your cute a$$ rather then look at you through his rearview.;)

thanks

I think the suspension is most capable of handling well at speed below 120, that just my experience

i dont really think i should have the experience of knowing how well handle at those speeds consider how few miles it has on it

went around 130ish on my Z and felt pretty stable

GZ3 04-29-2011 04:23 PM

yeah the few times i took my car up that high it felt stable, the Z feels good at top speeds to me

havent tried the 5.0 yet

tjlazer 04-29-2011 04:48 PM

Might be the Nismo suspension, upgrade it and see if that helps.

christian370z 04-29-2011 05:18 PM

I find my sport packageless Z stable as a rock at those speeds. Many factors affect high speed stability.

But I'll still add that I've done 135mph at Road America and there were no stability issues. Keep in mind that I also had to use 100% braking from that speed to slow for the upcoming turn...again, rock stable.

warbird 04-29-2011 05:30 PM

we did have a lot of wind today...maybe I was incurring crosswinds. The more I think about the dumber I feel. I had no business driving like that. It wont happen again. I didnt buy the car to track or drag race it. Bought it for its looks, reputation and previous Z heritage (this is my 5th one).
Thanks for the input.
