1/4 mile time
I am wanting to bring my 2010 370z 6mt to the track to see what I can do for the 1/4 mile. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle shifting from first to 2nd? The car winds out so fast in 1st gear!

Clutch in all the way to the floor, foot off the gas, pull straight back into 2nd, foot off the clutch, foot on the gas.
That's if you care about your car more than your timeslip. Visa-Versa... Floor it, stab the clutch and yank it into 2nd as fast as you can, foot never leaves the gas. Dunno how tough Nissan's driveline is, suspect the synchro's (weak point in this car) won't be happy with you, though. |
