I usually drive my 7AT in full auto mode for my normal DD commute. When I want to have some fun, I use the paddle shifters. I definitely would not have gotten my awesome 1/4 mile time with a 6MT, which makes me love the 7AT even more :D

he did say he got his for a good deal...

I love having the option for full auto mode in Bay Area traffic. Highway 4 in East CCC is a mess. Switching to manual mode is a great option for when I want more control.
I will have to say that I'm still getting used to the paddles in the sense that I feel like I should be doing something with my left leg when changing gears. But, I only have about 250 miles on my Z so far... I've had traditional stick cars all my life. Previously had a 5-spd WRX, before that a 5-spd Integra, before that a 5-spd VW, etc... |
I would say I drive in auto mode 95% of the time

i was pearing into the future and saw the manual transmission becoming an option just before sliding into obscolescence. Automatic trans technology is advancing rapidly, performance and efficiency wise. pretty soon the stick shift will be a thing of the past.
2030: Ford will release a Mustang with a "throwback" trans that requires the driver to manually select the gear ratio postion, much like cars from previous decades. |
^^ Will I meet the girl of my dreams?
|
yes, but you never marry. Shortly after you meet she is arrested for assaulting the manager at a Grandys All-You-Can eat buffet after he tries to cut her off. In jail she meets the girl of her dreams.

Just my luck
