or, you could use paragraphs so that people could understand what you write. Up to you, of course.

Also, let it be noted that I prefer to GTFI, rather than GTFO.

You should always go into a dealership with information about another dealership (let them know you've been doing research). I found a dealership in Dallas that has a Nismo listed for online price $37,600 compared to $41K MSRP. I know thats below invoice (google) but I still used it here in Houston and of course they called to get the walk out price, which they said was just above invoice. Well I made the same call and found out my dealership was inflating it a bit and called them out.

I ended up getting it at invoice. Also, You should all know they get kickbacks from the manufacture (2.8%) so don't ever let them tell you they aren't making any $$. I hate hearing that crap!

I also walked out saying I was going to sale my trade at Texas Direct Auto because their buyout quote was way higher on my tradein...then their Used car Manager said he wanted my car (due to low inventory on their lot) and to give me what I wanted for it...so I made out!

Even if you are comparing 09-10...they can work with the price, unless of course their demand is SOOO HIGH and they only have a few in stock...which is unlikely. They want the sale...no matter what.

My Dad has been a Car dealership manager almost my whole life...so I know a bit of the ins and outs.

The only reason i bought an AT because of the BayArea traffic. everyday it takes me 1 hour of commuting one way, only 15 miles away. Try that with a manual.

If i were to live in the surb, or somewhere with wide open roads, i would go with a manual.

also with an AT, i can go in the manual mode. the fun factor is up to each individual to interpret.

I can cruise when i want and just let my mind wander away. when I want to have some fun, i can swithch to manual. best of both worlds.

Doubt he's lying about the price difference. We don't know the years of the cars (his could've been overstock since he has an 09), options, etc. Typically, automatics are purchased by dealerships in hopes that a random customer will walk in and snag one on the spot. Dealers prefer to stock fewer manuals because they are an enthusiast's car and enthusiasts are more likely to be picky about their cars, with things such as colors and options.

main reason for me buying my Z in AT was because the constant, stopping, starting, stopping, starting again... of traffic on the way home and stuff

i mean a Z is a Z, Automatic or Manuel... who cares lol i still have a ton of looks EVERYWHERE i go practically and admiration BIG time... and thats the biggest joy for me....

Me personally i havent used the shifters yet in mine, mostly because im so used to Automatic that i just put it in gear and go, without a moments thought..

Manuel or Automatic..... Doesnt matter, Admirers will flock and gawk from a distance for the simple fact thats its a Z! =)

for me i traded in an 05 350 MT in was fun for awhile but i grew tired of the shifting in traffic. plus the first time i saw the paddle shifters on the 370 i was sold..... the 7AT does not disappoint.... when i'm depressed i just put it in M
mode shift right before redline between each gear and i get a big grin on my face...............

I'm in the majority and drive in the auto for boring driving (city or expressway) and M for the fun twisty stuff. I've done the $2 paddle shifter mod and like the shorter throw. Ofcourse you are never going to get the MT people to admit that both are great trannys but they are. I never have to worry about burning up the clutch or missing a shift. Just hammer down and take off down the road, shift 6 times and your over the speed limit.:ughdance:

Tru that I can hit 65 in 3rd or 4th. I like hitting all the gears real fast. Does anybody have a top speed per gear chart?

next i made fun of the bestbuy boombox cluster, and the stupid big side view blinding side mirrors, etc. :icon17:

so i paid invoice and went home happy in the exact trim and option i wanted. :p

Its typical texas practice. Always inflating prices of anything with 2 doors considered sporty. Its imperitive that tx consumers do there research before buying any vehicle and a ** on sports cars.

I might have rambled a little but at least I'm on topic and not looking for a stupid f****in laugh. What have you brought to this thread aside from indirect insults.
