Okay, none of those cars are really "compact", but given the number of lines showing there. I'm gonna give him a pass.
He's parked parallel to a set of lines that should be to his left. Some are painted over, some are not. I'd be a little confused, too.

Good point. That lot is getting worse each day. There's rooftop parking but I can't make it up there.
