Yeah that I've heard complaints on but I haven't experienced that. Have you tried esther oil or a synthetic to see if it gets better. I've heard of owners that have gotten new engines under warranty when oil consumption is extreme. Do a search on oil consumption and find out what were the situations.

Its even worse than that, my Z is gone, it got lemoned at the dealer. They would top it off and put tamper proof tape on it then bring it back in, massive oil consumption, regular, ester, didnt matter...she is gone

I did notice that guage drops fast when that warning light is on

I think once I was at 52 kms alert left, drove maybe 15K highway, stopped for some candy at a corner store...turned her back on and it was like ---- lol.
