I still want to drive a NISMO 370, but I can't find any for sale nearby at this moment.
I really like the new 5.0s and if I were building a track car on a new platform, it may be the way I would go. I just can't get beyond the fact that I pass 10 Mustangs between my driveway and the first 7-11. I know that when you are in the seat pushing a car none of that really matters. If they weren't a great value, they wouldn't be selling so many. It just bugs me.

Although not a NISMO, you are welcome to drive the roadster. I should have the Swift springs on in a few weeks, depending on my schedule.

And yes, quite a few blown motors lately. But that's supposed to be a secret.
its apparently a well kept secret haha. i would imagine it would have to be considering how much the kits cost though. still though i would pick bmw over chevrolet any day of the week. thats just me though, in the end its all up to you.

even though they are all nice cars thats the only reason i would never get a mustang, camaro, or corvette is because they are all so common. i wouldnt want a car that 50 other people in my town already have.

Well that sort of thing really depends on where you live. If you live in a wealthier neighborhood, you will see a lot more expensive cars and a BMW might be the car that everyone has.

Yeah I wouldn't buy a mustang or camaro for that same reason. Corvette I might consider, but I prefer other cars in that price range.

obviously u dont think like me haha u have a mustang AND a camaro. and thats prob because most people will buy what they grew up knowing as a kid, they seen their parents driving mustangs, camaros, etc and they also see them EVERYWHERE so thats the first thing they look for when they are buying a car. its kinda like advertisements...people will buy something that they see all the time or that they hear about a lot before they go out and look for something different. people just want to fit in lol. why are you hanging out in a Z forum anyway? u must have realized that you bought the wrong car and youre thining about trading haha.

Haha, I for one don't care much about rarity or anything like that. Up in NOVA you're not driving anything rare unless it's some limited run Ferrari or Lambo.

I can definitely see the Z being pretty rare in Radford... when I used to go to visit when I still had mine I never saw another 370 save for one or two at the dealership in Christiansburg, but that's it. Mustangs were pretty popular down there. Less so up here around NOVA where the "it" cars are the 911 and 3 Series. I only see one or two '11+ 5.0s a day.

But again, I care about the driving experience. I'm not worried about being seen in something that you don't see very often. Unless you're going to spend big bucks that's kind of a lost cause up here anyways.

i feel like that is not true. maybe a v6 camaro or mustang is more affordable. but my camaro was the same price as the 370z i was looking at. same goes from the mustang.

i bet the camaro and mustang would be rarer if chevy and ford didn't make v6 models that cost much less and over populates them.

I don't put too much into it either, but I don't completely ignore it. When comparing similar cars, it might be a small factor in the decision making process.

Exactly. The V8 models only account for around 20-30% of total sales volume. However it seems like a lot of people not familiar with the two cars can't really differentiate between V8 and V6.

And yes, my 5.0 cost me about what my 370 did.

the fact is that they DO sell v6's though which means they are everywhere. besides i wasnt talking about 370's anyway i was talking about m3's over vettes and mustangs

Your right, it's definitely kind of "cool" to have an uncommon car that turns heads. Anyone that denies that is probably lying, since 99% of people like positive attention in one way or another.

It just makes me laugh when I think about how many people place that attention factor extremely high up on their list, especially when they're only driving extremely affordable cars. Whether you drive a Mustang or a Z there really are no barriers to entry. Anyone can buy one.

There are many more important things about a car to me than whether or not it's rare or turns heads, so I have a hard time sometimes understanding the thought process of some of the folks that are really seeking attention. I kind of feel like the driving experience should always come first, but that's not always the case for everyone! And that's what makes the world go 'round, I suppose!
