Haha, I for one don't care much about rarity or anything like that. Up in NOVA you're not driving anything rare unless it's some limited run Ferrari or Lambo. :icon17:

I can definitely see the Z being pretty rare in Radford... when I used to go to visit when I still had mine I never saw another 370 save for one or two at the dealership in Christiansburg, but that's it. Mustangs were pretty popular down there. Less so up here around NOVA where the "it" cars are the 911 and 3 Series. I only see one or two '11+ 5.0s a day.

But again, I care about the driving experience. I'm not worried about being seen in something that you don't see very often. Unless you're going to spend big bucks that's kind of a lost cause up here anyways.

haha me and my friend were talking about that the other day. i wish that i could go on the interstate and get passed by ferraris and lambos. thats a def rarity around here, i might seen one of those once a year. theres a couple of lambos in christiansburg and one ferrari in blacksburg. there are quite a bit of porches around though, even more than the Z.

I know the guy that owns about 75% of the exotics you'll see driving around the NRV. He's pretty loaded.

well i am a little younger . i didn't grow up with the muscle cars. and my parents drove Lincolns and caddies when i was growing up. i am a car enthusiast and like a lot of different cars. i wanted a 370z before a camaro or mustang. but the camaro was new at the time and i liked it a lot and still do. it had a better engine for modding and i decided to get the camaro. now the 5.0L is a great car. i hand around a lot of different forums just to talk about cars to people :)

Yep, I'm a car guy first. I bleed Ford Blue, love older GMs, and am an absolutely diehard Nissan Z fan.

Your right, it's definitely kind of "cool" to have an uncommon car that turns heads. Anyone that denies that is probably lying, since 99% of people like positive attention in one way or another.

It just makes me laugh when I think about how many people place that attention factor extremely high up on their list, especially when they're only driving extremely affordable cars. Whether you drive a Mustang or a Z there really are no barriers to entry. Anyone can buy one.

There are many more important things about a car to me than whether or not it's rare or turns heads, so I have a hard time sometimes understanding the thought process of some of the folks that are really seeking attention. I kind of feel like the driving experience should always come first, but that's not always the case for everyone! And that's what makes the world go 'round, I suppose!

:iagree:

Although I had decided on my last 2 cars before even sitting in them :roflpuke2:

1st was the 2010 Maxima and then the 370Z. Decision was based on price, looks, and expected driving experience. A test drive confirmed my choices.

I don't know about the Maxima, but I'd say 90% of 370Z and 5.0 buyers know they are going to buy the car before they even test drive it. I knew that with my Z and I knew it with the 5.0.

Well I wanted a Z then too, but I never thought my parents would ever let me get it. Didn't even find out I had a chance till after I bought the Maxima.

the mustangs and camaros will always be better sellers because they are american classics. im sure if u go to japan u will see a lot more Z's than those cars.

Seems like this has turned into a love fest for the camaro
and the mustang. The camaro and the mustang have more in
common with each other then the 370 ever will. when the first two
came out there was some excitement but know the new
Has worn off. I personal seen 3 mustangs pulling through
a mcdonalds drive-thur today all were being driven by 3
Collge girls. Point made. Camaros are fast becoming the same
way. at least the Z hasn't reach those lows.
