I definitely agree, I wish they used a coupe but it still did well all things considered.

Regardless of price, how new the car is, etc... v8 vs v6 N/A -- the v8 should win.

maybe in a straight line that is a good rule of thumb. for N/A

Inflammatory as it is, I still chuckle that the 370 NISMO's best lap time around VIR was only 1/2 a second ahead of a V6 mustang that bounced off it's 114mph rev-limiter for over a dozen seconds on the straights. Ironically though, the Mustang was Ford's answer to Chevy's Corvette. Then Chevy countered with the Camaro to compete with the 2+2 design. Woefully for Ford, the Mustang has been lagging behind the 'Vette's performance for decades, and even a base Grand Sport can trounce a GT500. It'll be interesting to see where the ZL1 Camaro falls in the mix.

That's the old GT500. The 2011 beats the Grand Sport now on track times at same raceways though I haven't seen a direct comarision yet. They did by dropping 100 lbs. over the front wheels when they switched to an aluminum block in 2011. Handling supposidly is night and day over the 2010.
