Default 370z Roadster: Am I Too Tall?

Hi folks,

New to this forum and hoping for some help. I test drove a gorgeous 370z cherry roadster yesterday and really loved it. Problem is that when I sit in it, the top of my hair is just about exactly flush with the top of the windshield (I am 6'2) and I am just not sure whether that makes me too tall.

When we put the roof up there was ample clearance and comfort but with the top down I got an uncomfortable feeling from the wind in my hair (and honestly, since I never drove in a convertible before I couldn't tell if that was normal or not or if the little pebble that hit me was a sign to give up my dream.

I have read some of the threads here regarding height but my issue is not fitting in the car with the roof closed but rather if I am running into a dangerous situation by buying a car that has me so high that it is unsafe for me.

I should add that I adjusted the seat, got it as low as possible where my feet were comfortable with the distance to the pedals, etc and those adjustments put my hair flush with the top.

So, any thoughts? Are there any aftermarket products that I can add to the windshield to get me a couple of extra inches of safety?

Many thanks in advance. Great site by the way.

there are other similar threads. I'm 6.2 and i prefer to wear a hat just to avoid that air-pull on the hairs on top...

one interesting idea - remove the headrest, and then recline the seat even further...

Hmmm...doesn't sound too safe removing the headrest

I thought of a hat and then figured that if I looked up the wind would deposit it somewhere in the highway.

Since we are the same height (although I have along torso and 32" inseam) do you find that your hair is just level with the top of the windshield?

Thanks
