Default Stolen S2000!! move onto the Z possibility

Anyways guys this is just a heads up..As of last tuesday my car was stolen out of my driveway and i miss her dearly. so basically make sure you lock your cars up good seemed to be a professional job.

Anyways on to happier thoughts ive been on the search for a new car and this is what came to my mind:

Budget no more than 40k..

E46 BMW M3 - then i thought too myself maintenance and repairs will cost me an arm and a leg..

98-01 NSX - love this car but to get one in my price range im looking close to 40K for a good one. Do i really wanna pay that much for a car that old?

2011 370Z
- Car is new with warranty, test drove one not bad just miss the S' gearbox. nice interior and up to date

S2000 - I can't see myself buying another one at the moment my hear is to broken with my loss and i feel like ill be cheating on her. Most likely pick up a used ap1 down the road.

Any other cars you can suggest..looking for something a bit bigger than the s but still sporty

So basically was wondering if anyone has come from an S2000 and give me their input on how you like the car

Go with the Z I think it's the best car at the price 30-40k price range.

E46 BMW M3 - One, you won't get this car for under 40K unless you're looking used (you didn't specify). Plus, BMW (at least with my experience) tend to work great up UNTIL the warranty runs out and it becomes nothing but a pain. My mom's had a couple problems that they supposedly "have never seen before."

98-01 NSX - NSX is more of a "show" car. I wouldn't really consider something that rare a DD, but that's just me.

2011 370Z
- Good choice, but it's not going to feel like the S2K.

S2000 - You still seem attached to the S2K. You had no intentions of getting rid of it, it got ripped out of your hands. I came from a supercharged '08 Si and as it doesn't drive exactly the same (comparing to the 2K), my Z doesn't feel anywhere near as nimble as my Si (although, once I get my money together, that may be different ). You said you don't want to spend MORE than 40K and I don't know your financial situation, but you're all right up against the wall with all of your choices outside of the 2K. I think this would be your best bet.
Good luck!

I still have my 2005 S2000 (love it...although willing to sell it) and just got a 2011 370Z. I bought the automatic Z because I drive in a fair amount of traffic and I've had enough with shifting all the time. I still have the S2000 and a motorcycle, so I have my stick shift rides.

You'll love the 370Z although I wasn't in love with the manual transmission. The S2000 has a crisper shift and I like how it works. Nothing wrong with the 370Z manual transmission...just a comparison to the S2000.

If I had the choice to pick the Z or the S (both brand new and same price) hands down I would get the Z. This is coming from a guy who would only look at Honda in the past.

Just my $.02

What are Kyle and Jamaica talking about? $40K, $60K? Huh? He said E46 M3, not E90/E92. You guys need to brush up on your cars. A used E46 M3 runs $20K these days with good mileage - they're not very expensive anymore.

my neighbor has an e46 m3 for sale for 15k. it has 2 sets of wheels, top of the line suspension, and 2 sets of interiors. he works for bimmerworld so he has access to all the best stuff. its the blue color similar to the blue on the Z, im not sure what its called. (bimmerworld is a race team that travels all over the country)

+1 on NSX but you have to remember you have to swap out all those old parts and get new parts for it to run at it's normal times. You will be dishing out a lot of money to get it back to tip top form. Then you will go boost!
NSX would be a kickass project car though, honestly go for it dude!

Default Get the Z

I have the base but with your budget get the sports and touring package. Look at the English top gear video and the Cayman 370z comparison video.
