I just discovered that you can't accelerate past 90 mph using the cruise control.

I did not know this. Will it hold above 90 MPH if you use pedal first?

I don't think is safe to use cruise control at 90 mph here in the US.
However in Germany I did use my cruise control in my BMW at 120 mph on the autobahn.

Same here, I'd set the cruise on my tC for 120 and be just fine. Never had any problems, cept when there would be someone in the left lane going slow that would NOT move. Other then that, it actually felt easier to drive at that speed vs at 60 mph.

I find the original post here to be informative. The guy didn't say where he learned this, or under what conditions. Could have been a closed course for all we know.

I don't think I've used cruise control once in the roughly 2 years I've owned my car. 90mph isn't all that fast in Texas considering they just changed some speed limits to 85mph.

I was on the brand new, ultra smooth, nearly deserted toll road that nobody uses because it costs to much. Just getting to know my new car. There is about one car per mile and actually I never passed anyone because they are all hauling *** too. Police don't bother to patrol it.

I can definitely see the need in Texas...
