With drag radials/slicks, the water box is useful. It's lubrication to get the tires spinning for a purposeful big smokey burnout. These tires respond to higher temps, resulting in a better launch.

Yeah that's pretty easy. Unfortunately the car doesn't sit still for a long smokey one but whatever. How many sets of $300 a pop tires do you wanna burn through anyway in this economy right?

^ya no smokey burnouts which I learned can not be done unless that fuse is taken out. But at least I know the brakes are not needed. Better "burnouts" to come after I get the S/C

so my mechanic friend didn't believe me our 370's cant do a standing burnout without taking out the brake light fuse. he's like lemme show you how it's done. he tries twice and of course the brake kills the power. so he actually believes me and pops out the fuse and tries it after. smoke show ftw.
i wish there was a easy fix for this. cause there are times i want to have some fun on a straightaway but my tires normally arent warm enough so launching even at 1500rpm makes the car judder like a fwd. 'spinnin ain't winnin' unless u gettin slideways wo0 wo0 but is there a reason for why nissan decided to design the z so it can't do standing burnouts?

Personally I don't see it as a problem as most of the times you would want to do a standing burnout would be in a safe place where you could pull the fuse. If you wanted to go crazy you could wire a switch inline with the fuse.

Yep, I'm not sure what the deal is. Unless there is another fuse or something that needs to be pulled as well, I really don't think Nissan would have changed anything for the nismo

Brake fuse being pulled doesn't work....still kills power to motor..I'm thinking a line lock is the only option Ryt now
