so my mechanic friend didn't believe me our 370's cant do a standing burnout without taking out the brake light fuse. he's like lemme show you how it's done. he tries twice and of course the brake kills the power. so he actually believes me and pops out the fuse and tries it after. smoke show ftw.

i wish there was a easy fix for this. cause there are times i want to have some fun on a straightaway but my tires normally arent warm enough so launching even at 1500rpm makes the car judder like a fwd. 'spinnin ain't winnin' unless u gettin slideways wo0 wo0

but is there a reason for why nissan decided to design the z so it can't do standing burnouts?

Their intention wasn't to kill burn-outs, it was to prevent run away cars. If the throttle pedal was giving a bad reading (a la Camry) then it would be easy to stop the unwanted acceleration by hitting the brake. You are going to see more and more cars with this feature.

Personally I don't see it as a problem as most of the times you would want to do a standing burnout would be in a safe place where you could pull the fuse. If you wanted to go crazy you could wire a switch inline with the fuse.

Correct. A simple relay with a toggle switch should do the trick!

Unhappy Still can't burnout!

I removed the stop lamp fuse, my brake lights went out, ABS and slip lights came on, but it still kills the throttle when I tap the brake??
