The Service Manual is your friend:

The component you *do* have there is the Bose amp, what you're missing is the stack of components that does XM Radio, Bluetooth, and Voice Input, which is only there if you have the Bose Audio (Touring?) w/o Nav (bare Cubby). If you have the Nav option, these functions are integrated into the headunit.

Edited: took me a minute to figure out that he has Nav, and that's why those pieces are missing

It really is for the bluetooth/XM/Voice modules. Cars that have Nav have those functions integrated in the head-unit in the dash. Cars that have Touring without Nav have these extra modules back there for bluetooth/xm/voice and a "normal" radio/cd head unit beneath their empty cubby.

And yes, there is a switched 12V in there somewhere. Check the wiring pinouts in the Service Manual.

They put wiring for dynamite in your trunk? Crap. Be careful if you ever get around a group of middle-easterners.
