Hands-free phone question
I pick up my new Z on Wednesday (!) and I was reading over the instruction manual. It says:
You will not be able to use a hands-free phone under the following conditions: - Your cellular phone is locked in order not to be dialed. Say what? Am I misunderstanding here, because anytime the phone is in my pocket it's obviously going to be locked. So you can't make or receive calls without taking out the phone and unlocking it? Kinda defeats the purpose... |
I think it means that if you manually lock the phone to prevent accidental key pad dialing...my phone works great in the hands-free mode with the phone on standby while in it's pouch.

i have a Droid and whether i hit the lock button manually or let it go untouched for a couple seconds, it locks. I'm not aware of any way of having the screen be off and unresponsive (so you can't touch things by accident) without it being locked. I thought the two were synonymous.

I have my Droid set to lock the screen after 15 seconds. My Bluetooth in the Z works fine even when my Droid is sleeping.

I have an iphone. No issues with it being locked.

Only downside is not being able to access the phone directory until the car is stopped. |
