Nissan is on my list of "acceptable" brands, unlike Toyota or Chevrolet. Over the years I have owned 3 Nissans. I like the brand but don't love it. But I do love my Z!

My brand count favors Audi, but I'm not very fond of most of the new ones (overweight, overpriced, and fewer and fewer clutches). But my next new car will probably be another Audi S4 to replace my current one when I finally wear it out. Most of my cars I've driven into the ground, with average mileage when I sold them around 150,000 miles.

* 7 Audis (2 '01 S4 Avants, '92 Ur-S4, '05 TT, '01 TT, '99 A4, '80 5000 diesel)
* 3 Nissans ('09 Z, '91 SE-R, '84 Maxima)
* 3 Fords ('91 SHO, '89 SHO, '64 F150)
* 3 Saabs ('05 Aero wagon, '95 Convertible, '74 Saab 99)
* 3 Mercedes ('01 320SLK 6spd, '59 220SE, '65 250SE Coupe)
* 2 Mazda's ('05 RX-8, '94 Miata)
* 1 Honda ('83 Prelude = my first brand new car)
* 1 Alfa Romeo ('61 Giulietta Spider owned for 23 years)
* 1 Lancia ('64 Fulvia)
* 1 MG ('67 MGB-GT)
* 1 Volvo ('65 P1800)
* 1 Volkswagen ('73 Karman Ghia)

The majority of vehicles I've owned were fun to drive, and I've had a lot of smaller-engined sports cars over the years. Oh, and every one of these cars was a stick!!

I'm not a brand royal, but I hate some brand royal head. Even I like Z but it doesnt matter Z is better than the others.

Z guy, have yet to commit to being a nissan guy. Need to go for a test drive in the maxima/altima before I can commit to that.

I've owned 4 or 5 nissan's through the years but wouldn't consider myself a nissan guy. i really wasn't a Z guy until 2005 when i bought my first 350
i knew nothing about the car or it's history. of course i had heard about them
but really didn't care. one day i was driving by my local dealership in my 97
c5 corvette with 87,00 miles on it which was beginning to nickel and dime me to death just looking around and there it set an 06 roadster. not bad i thought.

one test drive later and i drove it home and have been hooked ever since.

and my 370 sealed the deal... money well spent...
like i have said before on here the only other sports car i will buy again will be a
used c6. either car bang for your buck best in class.... sorry to ramble got of
subject................

I've owned:
-1983 Pontiac 6000LE out of highschool. Cracked hoses belched coolant onto the engine block resulting into giant clouds of grey smoke billowing from under the hood. Also had massive thermostat problems where you had to drive it around with the heat on full blast in the summer to keep it from overheating.

-1994 Toyota Camry LE. Complete warranty engine replacement, paid for a new transmission (apparently, they used the same tranny in the 6c as the 4c o_O) and eventually threw in the towel when the 5th thermostat blew and damn near cracked the block on it.

-2001 Nissan Sentra. Ran forever. Crappy little car but man I beat the everloving **** out of it and it just kept going. Really needed it to do what it did at that point in my life.

-2006 Nissan Altima coupe. Fast but not fast enough.

-2009 Nissan 370z (Base). Modded a little, cut my teeth and decided i needed more which led to...

-2012 Nissan 370z (Nismo)

Think I'm stuck on nissan. My uncle owned a 240z when I was growing up and called it his "Z car". My dad almost got in a fist fight with my dad when my brother and I hit it with a baseball which in retrospect, I kinda understand now. Was in awe of that car as a kid and I guess it just stuck.

Wasn't crazy about the 350 because there just wasn't enough juice there and was actually getting ready to buy a Z06 in '09 but then the 370 came along and I bought that plus a condo instead.

Own a bunch of nissan clothing which I intentionally wear out in public on occasion.

My office at work is covered in nismo stuff.

My first "new" vehicle was a 98 Nissan 200SX when I was 19. It had a few basic mods sold that and bought a 98 Gsr ( mods were cheaper and more plentiful than Nissan at the time) then I bought a 03 silverado. Got outta the Air Force and bought a 89 240SX and went crazy with that. bought a 2010Altima 2.5 coupe a couple years later, and traded my Altima for my Z. Sold the 240 after buying the Z since it couldn't compete. So now I have the Z and my 86 K5.. but I would say I'm pretty loyal to Nissan for cars, they just seem to be more performance oriented and fun to drive

I would consider myself a Nissan Guy but I would be willing to buy almost any brand if the car fit what I was looking for.

I have owned:

4 Nissan's (3 sports cars, and 1 truck)
4 Fords's (2 sports cars, 1 truck, and one ecomomy car)

I have considered and looked at without buying:

BMW, Hyundia, Porche, Audi

nissan is always probably going to be my fave, since my first car was a Sentra and I've had 7 Z cars, but I don't exclude or hate any other brands.

I love my Z. I've owned 4 Nissan/Infiniti cars/suvs and I love them all. But I don't commit to Nissan only.

Any car is good for me. I have bought used and most of them were bought from friends, coworkers or family. Bought an 83 Nissan Stanza new and it was the biggest lemon I have ever owned. Bought an 05 Altima 3.5 SE new. I needed a four door family car and the Altima had what I wanted. It had the most HP and came with a 5 speed auto while all the others only had 4 speed autos. My Altima has been very trouble free. I bought my 2010 Z because I never owned a sports car. It isn't the fastest, but you don't see many where I live. I wanted something that not everyone owned.

Not particularly brand loyal, but Nissan might get a first glance before some others just because I liked my 07 Altima 3.5 se and now my Z. If Hondas hadn't all gotten so soft and bland, they might be battling Nisan, but they have so that leaves Nissan as the Japanese dependability + some fun brand. Ford is going in the right direction, though and if I was to get a second practical car, the Focus would be high on my list. Not a fan German cars because of the high repair bills and that most of them are luxury makes and the premium you pay is often as much or more for badge than added value.

I consider myself an import car guy:

1988 pontiac Gran Prix(rolled it, ice ditch, over)
1987 Fc3s
1987 Honda Accord
1999 Honda Accord
1995 Honda Civic(current beater)
2003 350z(been trying to sell it for 3 months now so I can get a 370)

Btw I work for Honda... Quality is higher than Nissan, but Nissan is not bad in compassion to some of the others.

Just a car girl. Had two Hondas in the family previously. Owned an Infiniti prior to the Z and current family garage is a 350 and 370. But I definitely wouldn't shun some old school American muscle or any exotics.
