I started with a 2004 Titan and I loved it so much and so did my girlfriend that we traded in her Neon for 2004 Pathfinder. We still have the Pathfinder but I traded in the Titan for the Z. I love my Nissans. My brother has a Benz that is falling apart. My father has a Ford that sucks. My mother has a GTI that is nice, but I'll keep with my Nissans for now. I believe they have something that appeals for every application that I would need. I already have an itch for another Titan and also a 2012 GTR, which is out of the question right now, but soon enough. Luckily we don't have kids so when that happens then the GTR might come soon than I thought but perhaps I'll get a Maxima or Titan Crew Cab.

Toyota, I guess.

Maybe in a year or so I'll have to open my heart to their Scion brand :ugh:

2001 Maxima, 2003 Murano, 2007 Maxima, 2009 370Z, 2010 Cube.

Plus the wife's 78 280z project car.

Always had good luck with Nissans..

Not really - more of a sports car guy...

Toyota MR-2 SC, Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, Acura NSX, Nissan 370Z

:iagree:

I worked at a parts store for awhile. Our manager maintained that

he didn't care whether it was Ford, Chevy, Chrysler

as long as it was fast (his dad built and drag raced his own cars)

I'm usually partial to Hondas, but have been slowly starting to move to Nissans (see my sig). However, when we're ready to replace our CR-V (only 48K miles), it will probably be another CR-V, not the Rogue.

I've owned Nissans (and Datsuns) from time to time over the past 40 years and they've always been excellent cars. Every time I buy a different brand, I wonder why afterward and come back to Nissan. When I wanted an upscale sports car to go with my Miata, the thought of some exotic item scared me with prospects of huge bills. I knew if it was a Nissan, I'd have no aggravation and maintenance would be minimal and affordable---after all, it's a Nissan! How right I was---so far, anyway.

I dont know if this is a joke but jordo really?? toyota's are boring and bland. But if this wasn't a joke thin disregard my last comments and GL with ti-yota

In the american car segment ford ftw. in the imports honda forsure but they just dont make a good or any for that matter rwd vehicle. The nissan to me are the only one's willing to be bold , plus the Z is damn sexy.

I was always a chevy guy, (1st car was a camaro), also owned an 89 K-5 Blazer (still miss that rig) and had a 70 chevelle for a while too.

Got married and my wife converted me to the nissan fold a while ago. Her first car was a 73 240z so her love of the Z car goes way back.

I guess we're a die hard nissan family now.

9Zs_Ed 04-15-2011 10:24 PM

My forum name says it all - this is my 9th Z.

I'm also a Subaru Fan. I've had 3 Subies:

Outback Sport - Impreza-based transportation, but really liked it
Legacy GT, very hot - loved it - traded it for my current Z
New Outback - I have this currently, really love this ride!!!

I'm a car guy and not really loyal to any brand. I actually typically don't really like Nissan's offerings.

supunna_picta 04-16-2011 02:16 AM

It's harder to be a devout follower of a maker than it is to love a certain model. I loved my MR2 but toyota sucks the life out of fun with their entire remaining line up. Subaru, fun cars (WRX) but dang ugly or bland everywhere else. Nissan, the cube... really? Thank you for the Z, GTR, G series coupes, and even the Altima coupe (front drove bastard!).

I think you have to be thankful that each maker takes a chance and markets/sells some real sport models every so often. Honda S2000 in a long line of snoozeville rides. Hyundai's genesis coupe... Not including german competition (Caymen, TTrs, BMW 1 series)

Really, there wasn't much to choose from in the mid $30k realm that offered the performance and features that the Z does for 2011 for 2 seater sports cars.

It maybe retarded but I really started liking Nissan after the GTR in gran turismo. I started looking more into the company and liked what they offered. I went to votech Nissan specific class for 2 years and worked in a dealer for another. I decided that cars are a better hobby that profession for myself. I have a CA18det powered 89 240sx project car that ate a turbo after 1500miles(cheap rebuilt turbo not Nissan's fault). A 95 240 with a 375hp 350sbc project car (head gasket). And my first new car the 370. I am not really that brand loyal. If it a good product I can appreciate it. As far as older cars I really like chevy and will always dislike Mopar. I do like direct Ford is going.
