Once so far, slightly over 3500 miles.

If I break the tires loose in 1st gear, the revs can get away from you and I've found myself bouncing off the limiter before I can clutch in and grab the shifter.
Maybe I should have got the 7AT.

Never and I don't plan to. I plan on keeping for car until it's broken and according to the manual running to red line would decrease its life.

Frequently, 2-5 times a week. the pitfall of a quiet exhaust, having the top down, and loving 2nd and 3rd on those on-ramps. As was stated our redline is very conservative, but with a supercharger coming I think I will hit it far less frequently due to the increased power levels.

I am glad that the 370 has such a soft rev-limiter, unlike the 350Z which upon hitting the rev-limiter apparently deployed a large boat anchor.

After 10,000 miles of hard living, my motor is only burning two tenths of a quart over 4000 miles, so hitting the rev-limiter does not seem to have a detrimental effect on the motor

As far as bouncing off the limiter were the car auto revs down, maybe 3-4 times cause of miss shifts. But as far as redlining, about every shift! And yes my car is a daliy driver. But with the proper maintenance it will not kill the motor. There is a differece in dogging the car and demanding alot out of my sports car.

I would not bank on hitting it less after the supercharger as it gets to that redline much faster. I only hit mine a handful of times prior to getting the supercharger installed but I hit it quite often now and my redline was increased to 8K with the final tune after the SC installation.

It just gets to the redline so d@mn quick in 1st and 2nd and it is still pulling like mad so you don't really get any indication that you are close to the limit until you hit it. If you are paying close attention to the road in the tight twistys it is really easy to lose track of where you are in the rev range.

Once I knew I was getting a new engine from Nissan, I became intimately familiar with the rev limiter and revving the living feces out the engine. But I knew I was getting a new engine. Since then I've hit it a few times, just as I was just putting in the clutch anyway. My light is set at 7,000 rpm's.

Six quarts in 2,900 miles.

What is it now with the new engine? : Two quarts in the first 1,800 miles then it miraculously stopped. Coincidentally when I put on the intakes.

Thanks for asking.

Usually only at the track. Or the occassional friendly freeway jaunt with a likeminded individual.
