12V socket
Just curious, does anyone else have problems with this? I have problems with both the one that I use for an inverter in the arm rest (for ipod/camcorder) as well as the main cig lighter one in front of the passenger seat (which I use for a radar detector).
I have a problem a lot where going over bumps causes it to lose its connection or sometimes it just randomly comes lose enough to stop working and I Have push on the adapter (it feels like it will barely push in and start working again). I was just curious about how many other have had issues with this? |

i dont use the socket in my Z, but on my G i put a thin piece of plastic on the male plug side under the metal tab to make the plug a more snug fit.
i kinda need to muscle it in/out but it wont come loose on its own. next best is to hardwire a new wire and plug and use that instead. |

OP: I do not have any links, but you can get smaller "sleeves" to insert in the 12v socket that will securely hold some of the smaller power plugs. You can try slightly bending the contacts on the power cord or something like this: cigarette lighter locket sleeve - SCLA .
