Seems like Toyota Corolla "S" drivers all have the chip on their shoulder, big time. "This IS a cool car! it IS! it IS! I'm gonna drive like a **** until you agree!"

Yeah, definitely. I remember a while back I really got the itch to engage a black Camaro SS that I was cruising next to... but something told me no. Then we came up on a fender bender and BAM, his lights come on and he stops to help. Unmarked car!

We confiscate some of them in drug busts but a lot of them we just buy. I believe Loudon County and Fairfax County are the two richest counties in the US, and it shows. Pretty soon our cops will be chauferred around in Rolls Royces.

Mostly trucks down this way...the big 2500HDs love to try an spew diesel fumes all over me. If I dont take off like a rocket at the light they are punching. I ll admit I have pretty bad road rage, but Im not stupid enough to get into that.

I get a lot of looky lous that just want to see what kind of car it is. All of our civics and what not down here are mostly just lowered with a tin can on them and covered in primer. I think I have only heard one blow off valve the whole time Ive been in this town.

I had it worse when I was on my bike, I mean every car wanted to race it seemed.

If you've played Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for PS3/Xbox, you know what those counties are going to be rolling with. They are going to have Lamborghinis, Bugattis, Koeniggseggs, etc.

I was wondering if I was alone dealing with the trucks. I can pull up next to a vette, stang, beamer, etc and everything is cool. Nobody's manhood is being questioned. However, at least once a week, I encounter a jackass in a pickup truck that wants to race, cut me off, ride my tail or find another way to suck at life. It also seems to be the case that the bigger the truck, the bigger the douche.

Ain't Skeered, No Fear, Piss on Chevy, #3, Size Matters - Keep it Classy, Rednecks! Polish those truck nuts.

Without a doubt, I live in Charlotte NC, and I am constantly being challenged by anyone with aftermarket parts on their car. I only drive my Z when the weather is nice on other days I am in a hyundai. Its not my imagination, it is our cars that provoke people to try and race.

I'm sure those guys are the same when they see a stang, camaro, or any car that has been modded.

The funniest encounter I had was in my Civic and I went to pass a Smart car. I guess he didn't like it and I could hear the little motor in the Smart going at it with all its might. I just looked over and

I didn't read this entire thread, so if someone already posted similar, please forgive.

I don't find more people driving aggressively around me, just different ones. When I'm in the Z, I get challenged by ricers and anyone in a sporty car, but people in SUV's and sedans tend to give me wider berth.

Meanwhile, when I drive my Mazda6, the race crowd just drives by, but SUV's and sedans cut me off left and right.

One thing's constant: Prius drivers act like idiots no matter what I drive.

Haha I know the feeling but sometimes it's better not to engage them.

When I picked up my Z back in Feb. it couldn't have been more than a week old some douche college kid was riding my bumper in his Celica GTS with horrible body kit. I pretty much ignored him for a good mile and we were coming up to a turn. Mind you it was raining so I was in no mood for retarded driving especially in a week old car.

I take the corner normally and I guess Celica kid thought I was too slow so he switched lanes to overtake me and ended up breaking his tires loose and hitting the guard rail and hopping the curb. If I had decided to indulge that idiot and raced him there would be a very strong chance he would have hit my car instead of the guard rail and curb.

I really don't notice folks driving more aggressively around me in the Z. Sometimes I wonder if they even SEE me.

Occasionally I do get challenged though - last time was a Dodge Caliber.

Had that happen recently with a Honda fit. He was slammed and had aftermarket exhaust. The kid driving it must have been in high school still. Taking off from a light I was doing my normal 1-3-5 shifting and he must have been at WOT and I was still ahead of him.

Does this happen to everyone else? I wish! Every body must feel I am that unmarked cop car. Hearing that Mustang/Camero drivers want to run is amazing to me, since they, along with Challengers, are just as apt to be holding up traffic as a Prius.

BMW's and Porshe's litter the landscape around here, and still it is rare to get one to go.
Even young guys on motorcycles dont want to haul arse much anymore.

I had begun to think that boys in California have all been feminized, hence their demure driving style.

If anybody wants to go faster than you, please pull over. Is this asking too much?
