Why????
What is up with all the dealerships not wanting to deal on any used 09 or 10 z. They won't move on any of there prices. And when I'm looking for what I want it's hard to do. Looking for white touring/sport 7sp with nav.

P.S keep hammering. Last april, i got my 09 white fully loaded (sports, nav, touring, 6-speed) for 32.8 new. |
yah, that is high.
the issue is new Z's are going to take a while before they start shipping again + warmer season = even more demand. |

Your car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, not what you want for it.

Honestly though when is the last time you have seen a nissan commercial strictly for the Z. I have not seen one in a while. If it is in a commercial it is surrounded by all there other models and the rebates exclude the Z. From what I have heard they dont really care about Z sales in the U.S. It seems to be true but for what reason ill never know. It is awsome that they keep there value too. Kinda like a jeep wrangler, ten years old and still ten grand plus on the resale.

Have you read the threads about internet sales departments? I went that route and found a '10 for about $2k under invoice (about $5k under msrp), before taxes of course
|
I've noticed (at least in my area) that right now there are still leftover 2010 models, but they tend to be pricier with all options added. For example, a fully loaded roadster at $7500 off msrp is still $37k.

These have all been used i have been looking at with anywhere from 5,000 to 20,000 miles

Like GR8 said their are some dealers with stock of brand new 10's and a new few 09's still, alot of them are higher ends models some lower end.......I'm sure that you could someone willing to deal as alot of these cars have been sitting on dealers lots well before what happened in Japan, so we can't really blame that one why they wont deal as demand is not that high for these cars. One dealer here in the LA area has had 4 of the same Z's for 8 months now..... that I pass by on a regular occassion.

I was originally looking for a used 370Z but the used sales guy worked to get me in a 2011 nearly within the budget. He checked inventory and found me exactly what I wanted in Oklahoma. They had to drive it down to Austin from there, but he just traded one of the Z's on their lot for mine. 2011 MT Base Sport with a few additional options for $32K.
My advice is find a dealership with enough Z's in stock to trade and have them search other dealers' stock. An energetic sales person that isn't pushy is a great help. My used car guy spent nearly 2 hours calling dealerships trying to negotiate. Although, I will say I didn't get much service from him after the car was found, since their used car lot is down the highway on a separate site. Still very satisfied with my experience however. And the car is fantastic. |
