I'm proud to say that I financed mine... I bought my Nismo back in January and every time I submit a payment, it reminds me of the hard work and dedication that I put into this car. Can't wait to own her for good!

I financed mine to build up my credit, first car took me from non existent to 750 in a year... Put $11k down, pay $430 a month, 4.9% interest, not great, but it's ok because my credit score didn't hold it's weight because it was all because of car payments which isn't a house and isn't revolving credit like a credit card...
(But I do have all the money to pay the car off in my savings account) |

Got my entire car financed with around 3% interest. It's a 60 month loan so about 800 bucks a month. I got gap insurance through my bank as well in the unlikely event that I wreck in the price gap.
The amazing part is the insurance. I'm only paying like 600 bucks a year for 2 cars, one being my 370Z.

Paid full in CA$H.
Of course I had to play the "I don't know if I can afford this -- it is a really expensive car" when negotiating. And then when we agreed on price, he asked me how many years I would like to finance for and I said "I will write a check". The look on his face -- priceless!! ![]() |

Thanks for being honest. Most of the other 20 something's in here that paid in cash forgot to mention that someone gave them the money.
![]() I'm 27 and my car is financed. Payments are easy, credit score is nearly 800, but I need history. The only check I ever plan on writing that's $35k or larger is for a down payment on a house. I'm the "keep it in the bank as long as possible" kind of guy. I worked hard for that $35k. No sense in spending it right away when I can just pay for it little by little. My next daily driver will be leased and I will buy something used that I can pay for in cash as a toy car. Sub 15k.
