Body shop FAILURE!
 

So I got into a fender bender about a month ago and took the car in to a local body shop to get the repairs done. Because the car was so new all the parts were ordered as new straight from parts source.

The day that I brought the car, the estimator asked where the bumper was, I told him it completely came off but I did take every nut bolt and fastener off and bagged it for the auto techs.

Didn't really seem like that big of a deal.....

Two weeks turned into just shy of a month, I called and got the same answer: "we didn't have a bumper to start with so it's been hard getting all the parts".....PATIENTS...

So we finally went in today to get the car.....THEY SPRAYED THE ENTIRE FASCIA!

and you didnt complain and drove it home?

:facepalm: Not surprising. My dealership damaged my rockers during service and I had to take my car back to the shop 3 times to get them to do the job right

Ugh! I would be so pissed.

Body shops hate me because I act like I can do it better...

The sad thing is, if I had a spray booth..I could.

Bring it back to them with a picture of how it was before and tell them to redo it.

All it takes is a little more work to tape it off and make it right; those guys are just lazy.

Oh there has been complaining, its under warranty from the shop...needless to say I am PISSED!

I don't really care how it happened, I just want it fixed. I have yet to receive a response from the manager, I will keep you posted.

That center section is suppose to be bare plastic can you remove the paint and keep it looking original? That it was I am thinking they are going to say...I'm going to FREAK if they propose that!

Tell them to get you a new bumper. Keep this one on until they have it on hand. No way I would accept this.

They should definitely redo that!

Man, no if ands about that....make em fix it and fix it right. I wondered what my color Z would look like if the grille was painted out, epic fail....... :(
