The seat itself has adjustments up and down on the LEFT side of the seat. The steering wheel can be adjusted up and down also. That adjustment in under the steering column, close to the dash. I am sure that once you have made the adjustments you will be able to see and love to drive it. I can't understand why the salesman didn't point those out to you???

most poeples problem is they feel they may be too tall. First time ever i heard of some one saying im to short haha.

Have you ever driven a sports car before? They normaly put you lower in the car so you cant see your own headlights hehe. A civic will put you high high up, i feel like im driving a stage coach or something.

My 5'3-ish girl drives the car just fine. She just has to crank the aforementioned control on the left side of the driver seat.

Get use to not seeing your nose. I still can scare the crap out of myself when I park. And I've got a bloody hump in my hood!

I love to occasionally drive my sisters Fit, it's like driving a golf cart with a bubble cabin. I park the car like 2 inches from stuff without even trying. It's fun!

Im 6 feet. I can say this, your visablity its going to go down drasticly its a "coupe".

Just gotta be slow for a while and dont make any fast lane changes. Eventualy you will be a pro and use to it. DO NOT PARK UP CLOSE TO ANY THING. You will give your self a curb job. If your use to seeing the front of your nose its gonna be a while before you know your distance in parking infront of curbs.

First week of owning my 2005 350z i curb jobed it very lightly under the bumper, not visible to any one passing by but down on hands and knee's can see it perfectly.

And if you do get it. please dont drive fast (on the street), trust me. You will want to really bad but i promise you at your age it will end badly.

I'm 5'-5" and there's more than adequate range in the seat adjustments to make sure I've got no issues with driving visibility.
