I wouldnt worry about correcting your times, since you ran what you ran. It's just important to know it's not a straight across comparo to mag times, since they correct the times.

I hate corrections, indexes and handicaps.

blades, where did you run at again?
EDIT: Here are corrections based on the weather in Odenton, MD at 2pm on March 12th, 2011 Input Parameters Are the Following: * Test ET = 12.99 * Test MPH = 107.5 * Test Temperature = 47 * Test Barometer = 29.90 * Test Humidity = 40% Computation Results: * ET corrected to standard is 13.01 * MPH corrected to standard is 106.5 Still a pretty solid time. The trap speed especially is pretty high. I'm willing to bet at least some of the difference is due to having a base model, since the brakes and such weigh less. It will make a pretty big difference on times. I couldn't break into the 9's with my S until I went back to stock brakes. The other component is the obvious fact that the autos are bad a$$ in a straight line. Last edited by Red__Zed; 04-03-2011 at 12:17 PM. |

I ran at Cecil County Dragway up in Rising Dun, MD. I would like to see my corrected times to be able to see how I actually did compared to the corrected mag times.

I can see their (corrections) usefulness in certain applications, particularly when it comes to dyno sheets, but when it comes to a race result or time, I think it should stand as it happened.
If a guy does a fast time in ideal conditions, he shouldn't have that discredited or have its validity challenged by a correction factor.

Nobody is going to take away from Shahid's 12 second run. It's a fast time and very impressive. With corrections, it is a lot more in line with the times that the mags are putting down though. |

Hm. For some reason I thought you ran in Odenton. I don't have any weather data for Rising Sun. Anywhere nearby that I might be able to get data from?

If you can find it for Odenton, just use that. It's only like 50 mins away and weather was the same. Only difference is altitude. You can also try Elkton, MD and see if that gives you anything.

Just read your edit. Only a .02 second correction so its not really a significant difference I guess. I have the touring too, which adds weight of the heated seats. I believe the touring weighs more than the base + sport. I will go check and find out.
