Sun shade

With warm weather approaching I've been thinking about getting a sun shade for the Z. Any recommendations out there?

Has anyone found one for the back window too?

I have this one:

The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: SALE! UV Sunshield, 09-10 370Z

and it fits and works very well. I have 15% tint on the rear window.

I have one too - much better than the flimsy ones, and it fits the windshield perfectly!

Thanks for the info! Ordered

I'm not sure about getting a sun shade, not much place to keep one in the car.

There isn't much space to put anything in the car.

:p

It takes up almost no space at all in the trunk. I tuck it under the cargo net.

The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: Cargo Convenience Net, 03-09 350Z & 09-10 370Z

Dang, I feel like i should get some commission from Motorsport.

I have the other one that the Z-Store sells and it rolls-up neatly to be easily tucked behind the passenger seat or laid on the passenger-side floorboard.

theDreamer 03-31-2011 04:29 PM

I have the solid piece sun shade linked in the early posts and it will fit behind the seats but will slide back and forth if you go quick through a corner.
Though most of the time it does not move at all and stays where I put it.

tonythetiger 04-06-2011 01:03 PM

def buying this since Texas is getting a little warm, thanks for posting link!!

bluelion 04-06-2011 01:34 PM

me too.... this will be my first summer with the new rides....

kenchan 04-06-2011 01:39 PM

yah, tint + sunshade ftw! :)

tsolin01 04-06-2011 01:41 PM

I have the same one posted from the Z store and it's definitely worth it. I usually keep it behind the passenger seat but be careful moving the seat back too much while it's in there or else you can bend it.

Now I have choices, a fold away one or roll up? Which takes least space? thanks. PS I found this thread.

Folding one takes less space and fits the windshield better...

I also keep it behind the passenger seat. If you scoot the seat back to the right spot it keeps enough pressure on it folded up so you can take high speed corners and the shade stays put and doesn't damage it.

I do not like the big gaps on either side of the A pillars.

Negative about parking under tree, as I dont want bird shite cooking on paintwork.

Kenwoodturbo 06-28-2014 09:59 AM

I can post a pick if you want but if you want a sunshade with spot on fitament order a heat shield. I have one in all of my cars including the nismo. side to side top to bottom fit is tight. Only area where sun can poke through is very small area around rearview mirror. And every type made will have that. Sure it was $35 bucks but worth every penny. If necessary I could take some pics of mine inside and out. Only color options are outside silver or outside gold. No logo. And no ties/stock options/relatives working there etc.

Lol, I don't park anywhere near under a tree and guarantee I'll get a bird strike at least once a week...only question is hood, windshield (field of view, of course), or roof...
