My same thoughts. I don't have to buy but at some point they have to sell and not with that kind of dealing. Say I bought it 2 years ago and put 200 miles they want to screw me on a trade in
|
They don't sell to many z either cause well as you can see don't want to move on the price
|
look at the blackbook and see how much an 09 with that option and 200 miles is...
|
On 7/2010 I bought a 2010, They came off the sticker $5300..and your dealer will only come off the sticker $6500 for a 2 year old?
Walk away! |
ok ok... I feel it is my duty as fellow member here on this forum and as a fellow Iowan to inform the OP of the issues surrounding this. First off, I am from the area, so I know about Jim Miller Nissan in Cedar Rapids.... WHAT AN AWFUL DEALERSHIP. Walk away right now... There's a reason why I (along with many other "smart" consumers in the area) didn't buy mine from that dealership. They have a great service staff (Tom), but the sales dept blows.
They have 3 or 4 roadsters that are 2010, and those have been there at the end of 2009 and spring of 2010. There's a REASON they can't move these cars. They don't move on price and screw people over. And as for that 2009???? Guess how long THAT's been sitting on their lot. Sheeeesh... they think that just because they're in a small town, that people are dumb enough (some are) to pay window sticker or a little under sticker. I'd be offering 25k for that piece.... no more. They're retarded for asking 32k. If you think about it, they are selling it for 32k which is around invoice for a 39k sticker right? approximately? So put it this way, I paid WAY under invoice for a new 2010 at the time. They want "around" invoice for a TWO YEAR OLD car? So retarded. Plus, just think about the manufacturer's warranty... granted, they may "start" it from date of purchase but you need to make sure. If the dealership offers a warranty through them, it's worthless if you have to move or take it to another dealer for warranty work... p.s. they are ALL automatics too... you sure you want an auto? My 2 cents, go to either Des Moines or Davenport. Bigger volume, bigger option, better deals. When you do get one, let us know... there's 3 of us in town, one blue, one white, and I think a red one. Good luck. |
I paid $34k for my 2010 Z Roadster with sport and touring last month. MSRP was $46k. Like other said...walk away. That dealership will never sell those cars.
|
Like FromG2Z said, you might just have to go to another dealership. Maybe even take a short road trip to find one that isnt in your local area. You can get a good 09 Z with slightly more miles but sport and touring for around 32k at most. At least that is what seems to the norm in my area.

They call me to day and said they do 32 plus fees, still way to much. And buy the way they wanted to give me 12 for my 2003 h2 which woodhouse in Ned has on his lot more miles for 24. What a joke. I'd say away from Jim miller nissan for anything.

Check out my thread on How to get below invoice pricing. http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-p...e-pricing.html
Thats how I got a killer deal on a 2011. I would not recommend buying a 09... Just think about when you have to resell it, its still an 09 (already two years old). just my 2cents |

Hey, if they can be rediculous so can you. |

So $25 OTD would be a good deal IMHO. It is, after all, a touring with sport. |
