I just got some kind of confirmation that the Z I ordered is in California already and it was built in February. Either it shipped out early or the dealer is unscrupulous, but after reading about Nissan's efficiency, I'm not worried about any delay. I've been receiving a few Nissan emails due to my order and I got their email about donating to the efforts in Japan. I am doing my part to help them out, so don't anyone complain about me being selfish. Last edited by Arc; 03-20-2011 at 02:49 PM. |

I don't think anyone at Stillen will be horrified by my comments; if you just lost loved ones in the disaster, you would probably be agahst that someone made the comments the OP made. God forbid people should think about how the things they say or do affect others I'm sure he's a very nice guy and meant no harm (whereas I am clearly a prick and feel obligated to give him some sh!t ), but it shows a monumental lack of consideration for others who have had their lives pretty much ruined or permanently changed for the worse from this disaster. Basically, he (and everyone else whining about how the worst disaster in Japan's history inconvenienced them) are just being incredibly thoughtless and self-absorbed. So self absorbed, in fact, he had no problem seeking support from a crowd of strangers on a public forum, and expected people to be concerned with his problems and sympathetic. Well, sometimes you get criticism instead of hugs. Oh well.

My comment about your thread obviously wasn't comparing things apples-to-apples. I'm just saying reading his complaint thread isn't exactly cluttering GenDis, when we get stellar threads like that otherwise... |

jordo, i thought you were done ? We all understand your POV on the tragedy, I don't think you are going to change anyones thoughts, regardless of what they may be, by posting about your opinion on the situation... I agree with how you feel completely and I am sure red zed does too but I feel like you are over reacting just to "yell" at people about this... give it a break

I had ordered some custom Nike's when the 2004 Tsunami hit Indonesia, i had to wait an extra 6 months for them, i was so pissed.
Jordo, your point that the OP can't be a little pissed about his car, despite the horrific events that obviously overshadow the importance of a vehicle he ordered is kind of ridiculous. It's like if you live in an apartment building that burns to the ground and you and your family make it out safely, and others do not, that somehow you aren't allowed to be upset that every single one of your wordly possessions is now burnt to a crisp. Plus, this is a car forum.... the OP isn't seeking out people who have lost family and loved ones in Japan and complaining about his car to them. he's posting it on a 370z forum, it's really NOT that inappropriate. One can always play the 'there are others with greater misfortune' card. No one really wants to have it pushed in their face. If someone gets into a car accident and is sad that their Z is totaled, should you go in and post and talk about how you saw some horrific accident where someone died and they shouldn't complain about their car? There is always someone who has it worse. I'm sure there is someone in Japan who's entire family was killed, and was exposed to tons of radiation, and guess what? there's someone out there that, in some way, has it worse than even that person. So let the OP complain about his car and stop trying to make him feel like an asshole. There have been natural disasters, genocides, and many other terrible tragedies in the world, but that doesn't mean if you get a flat tire or bend one of your brand new Volk's that you're not allowed to be upset.
