Japan's cascading disasters were spawned by one of the planet's strongest quakes in a century. Next came a tsunami that killed more than 10,000 people and demolished vast swaths of the northeastern coast in minutes. That triggered a nuclear emergency that has amplified a deepening sense of apocalyptic doom.
That was taken from Yahoo news. In light of what's happening/happened there it's hard for some of us to feel any sympathy for you. So your shiny new sports car is going to be delayed, end of story. Hard as it may be for you, try and remember there are hundreds of thousands of people whose lives have been forever turned upside down, and are suffering at this very moment. Then perhaps the thought of your car arriving a few months late will be easier to take.

One more quote from that same article:

Quote:

It's hard not to be impressed with the immense grace of the people we've encountered along the way. I've seen no fighting, no shouting, only patience.

Yes, a car is not important compared to the lives and well being of thousands of people. However, you can't use this tragedy to say that no one is ever allowed to be even the slightest bit upset or unhappy over anything else. By that logic, no one in the world should ever be allowed to be upset because someone somewhere in the world has it worse.

well, from my perspective the OP used the term 'misfortune' and that didn't settle very well.

i too would be pissed if my car was stuck at the port and washed away after a long wait, but then considering the total perspective i would consider my situation 'bad luck' than anything more and move on to find alternatives.

misfortune is a heavy word...perhaps the OP doesn't know 英語 (english) very well. :icon23: oops, i meant :icon17:

"The pots calling the kettle black"!
That's what I did! And your still mad! In fact your above post^ was very similar to the what you originally said to me. Until you came back a half hour later and re-edited it!

OH im still here. I just see that the arguments are going no where and really dont see a need in arguing my case through posts on a forum. I know what I said and what i meant. I meant no disrespect to anyone nor did I mean to piss anyone off. That being said, the argument can keep going on and on for all I care. Call me anything you want, I really dont give a F***. Seems most people are on my side anyways. Maybe I was wrong in writing "Misfortune" instead of "Bad Luck" but again, i meant no disrespect from it. And to the people trying to make me seem like an a$$hole to make themselves feel better, they can all F*** off cause I honestly dont care.

Thanks

Yeah, OP definitely should have worded his concern better. I agree with you that I would consider the total perspective if it was my car. I like to believe that OP does the same, but messed up in wording his post. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt before I start saying negative things about them. It's hard to judge people's tone and what they actually mean just from posts online.
