Ok, enough repetitive posts using Jordo as a punching bag!

Um, you need to take your head out of the sand. Don't get me wrong, I love my neighbours to the south but outside of NA, the US hasn't been that popular.

Jordo, I agree with with all your comments and it needed to be said.

you think they would take all the damaged cars say..in the pic... and strip them down and rebuild them? then try and sell them again? my parents said they might try that route. instead of a clean slate new.

Jordo, your point that the OP can't be a little pissed about his car, despite the horrific events that obviously overshadow the importance of a vehicle he ordered is kind of ridiculous. It's like if you live in an apartment building that burns to the ground and you and your family make it out safely, and others do not, that somehow you aren't allowed to be upset that every single one of your wordly possessions is now burnt to a crisp.

Plus, this is a car forum.... the OP isn't seeking out people who have lost family and loved ones in Japan and complaining about his car to them. he's posting it on a 370z forum, it's really NOT that inappropriate.

One can always play the 'there are others with greater misfortune' card. No one really wants to have it pushed in their face. If someone gets into a car accident and is sad that their Z is totaled, should you go in and post and talk about how you saw some horrific accident where someone died and they shouldn't complain about their car? There is always someone who has it worse. I'm sure there is someone in Japan who's entire family was killed, and was exposed to tons of radiation, and guess what? there's someone out there that, in some way, has it worse than even that person. So let the OP complain about his car and stop trying to make him feel like an asshole.

There have been natural disasters, genocides, and many other terrible tragedies in the world, but that doesn't mean if you get a flat tire or bend one of your brand new Volk's that you're not allowed to be upset.

You don't get it...

Like the old song says, it's not what you do, it's the way that you do it :icon17:

On that note, ironically, I probably could have just posted a picture of the wahhhmbulance or a lol cat to mock the OP's bid for sympathy purely for my own amusement, and that would have been viewed as perfectly acceptable

Ah, it's a cruel, cruel world :icon17:

If the OP's been waiting since September for his shiny new car, I wonder why he waited until after a 9.0 earthquake + tsunami + multiple nuclear reactor failure to bitch and moan about it :icon17:

Timing!

I kid, I kid. I hope he gets his car soon

Alright, this thread is going nowhere. Everyone has their own opinion and there is no point in allowing this thread to stay open and have forum members take shots at each other repeatedly.

Mods, I think its time for the lock.

:tiphat:

Actually, I added a couple links to some Pew Research center findings on the subject in my reply you might find of interest.

The good news is we are now better liked

Maybe, maybe not! Mazda destroyed a couple thousand vehicles a few years ago. They were in pretty good, to very good shape!

Supposedly is was mostly the Infinity M's, Nissan Rogues, and the Z's waiting to be loaded and none could be salvaged... JUST MY LUCK!!!! the car was supposed to be in my hands by the end of this month. looks like its going to be a little longer to wait... sadly. Anyone else have the same misfortune?

The only ones to have misfortune are the people of Japan!

You might not have your Z but you still have your family, house, other car and still alive. The car can wait or get a slighty used one, the For Sale Section is full of them and pretty sure some dealer in the US has a 370Z. :shakes head:

Hey Dai, we have not heard from our family up in Mutsu but we believe from posts on varioius forums that they did not suffer as those in Sendai, Hachinoe, and elsewhere along the Pacific north coast did. I'm glad to hear your cousin is okay.
