Black Cherry?

I like it now. I got new rims and that made a world of a difference for me, coming from the base, non sports package rims. I just hit 4k miles and probably spend more time washing and cleaning it because of how the color shows every little imperfection. I do think the color looks pretty awesome on a nice cloudy day.

I desperately wanted a nismo in black cherry and it wasn't an option. Still don't understand why Nissan doesn't offer more colors but oh well.

The color looks fantastic when it's polished/glazed. Looks almost black until you're on top of it. A guy in my car club has a roadster (first one I had seen) and I was really impressed.

I agree you can find a reason to hate all of the colors if you want to. I like black and I look at Black Cherry as "black, with a little something extra."

Case in point: I think that magma red is hideous. The midnight blue metallic is pretty though. Saw one at the dealership the other day.

I personally don't care for it but don't dislike it. I know several people who really like it though. I'd recommend looking into a wrap like someone else suggested or just live with it. I'd live with it before I'd take the financial hit. The car is bad *** in any color!

Black cherry is cool because of its rarity. I guess it's more "sophisticated" compared to the bright yellow, red, and blue. It's cool when a color shows different forms in different light & weather. . .

LOL! it's been 4 months for me and I am still a bit afraid of it...AND people roll their eyes when I talk about it-yeah-it's that bad! LOL I'd kiss it but I don't want to smudge the paint!

You need to get her on here and we can drool over our cars TOGETHER!! LOL! nothing like a fellow Z owner! I also love this forum and the people here.

I just bought a 2011 coupe in BC with the Frost interior. I was dead set against getting the car in Black because they are by far the most common in town. I was hoping for Graphite but getting one with all the options I wanted was proving to be very tough to find. So for me, the color was not my true first choice, but I think the dark exterior with light interior looks classy, mean and understated at the same time. Of course the color only really shows true when the car is spotless, so it's constantly going to require washing being the obsessive type that I am. I've had compliments already on it, and in fact an informal poll in my office had about 6/10 people agreeing that the BC is a preferable color to the Graphite I originally planned on getting. Part of the pride you get from having this car is the compliments from others...so embrace that and don't worry as much about your own second thoughts about the color. Most people dig it!
