Man you've got a tough decision to make, you COULD do yourself a favor and get the Z and have a great time but no back seats/kids OR try out the mustang with back seats even though it is still a two door sports car. I would assume that your kids are still young so you will have to drive them around for another couple years. Its is going to be tough to answer your situation, as most people by the Mustang or Z as their "toy" cars, not family cars. Instead of going for performance/speed maybe you should look at some other cars that factor in performance, convenience, and 4 doors. BMW 3 series, Audi A3 or A4, or maybe even a 4 door Subaru.
