When considering a car for myself, the top 3 criteria are price, performance, and looks. All three have to be good for me to buy it. I wouldn't want to get a car that has only 2. I wouldn't be able to stand getting a car that I thought didn't look good, I would hate looking at it. It's a good thing most high performance cars look good anyway

Some people don't care about having all out best performance in their car because that's only really useful if you're going to track it. In that case, looks, status, and comfort become bigger deciding factors.

The only thing I agree with you on is that the 5.0 is not a good family car. Yes, it has back seats, but it's in no way a feasible family car. A quick, sporty sedan would be a much better choice.

If it's not going to be your primary "hauling the kids around" car then it's fine, but anything other than some quick trips it's really not that great.
