Two questions about detectors
1) I am sorry if this has been discussed before, but what is the best detector out there? If price is not an issue.
2) If you do get pulled over and the cop sees that you have one, would he not be much more aggressive and likely to give you a bad ticket? |

2) Not really, unless it is illegal in your state to even have one. |
I second the Valentine as the best choice.
Beltronics aren't bad either. They consistently rank 3rd behind the other two in surveys, but cost hundreds less. One thing that may be a common problem is it tends to rest it self alot when driving. I thought perhaps it was a wiring issue but my brother has one and it does the same thing. It hasn't been a problem but it is slightly annoying since it goes through all the different sound warnings each time it resets. |
i just drive the speed limit.

1. Escort 9500ix
2. not sure, as soon as i see car flashing after i pass, i take it off and put it in somewhere not visible b4 i stop the car. |
If he sees you speeding and sees your rd, he's definitely giving you a ticket. The best would be a V1, but if they're pricey, you could get a bel, or cobra. I had a $40 whistler 140 that I got for free. Works okay.

These are the most debated topics out there. You'll find better answers on a RD forum.
As for the second, most cops will notice and make assumptions, but you can't really say for sure. |
