should i even bother get one? since im apparently TOO young to get a good rate with the insurance company, even tho, ive never had a tidcket, never had an accident, my credit score is through the roof good.... should i even bother now? its kinda disheartening...all because im 21..... rediculous if you ask me...

dont really want to give up, especially on a car such as this, what do you guys think...high rates, just because im too young? is simply rediculous... doesnt even matter that im a good driver, never speed, never gotten a ticket.... oh no... "hes 21..... and wanting to get a sports car... he MUST want to blaze down the road and wreck...jack his insurance through the roof!" ...

what are you younger owners seeing with it all?

I'm 22 with some driving violations, and it's less than $120 a month for insurance. It's worth calling around. I almost didn't buy the car due to being quoted $350 a month by state farm, but got hooked up by Geico.

Same principle. My 12 month premium is like $1400 or so.

I'm just reacting because I have 5 cars on my policy, including 4 drivers (2 are under 21). I don't want that bill just once a year.

I don't really want the bill at all.

Anyone want to adopt a couple college kids with a ticket or two on their driving record?

as most have stated before in its price range its the best bang for your buck..
in its class. but that doesn't make the car perfect. there are some small issues.

if its a DD get used to some road noise mostly from the crappy bridgestones
but you can change those. which you will anyway because they won't last past 20,000 miles....... no offence but if you have to worry about gas mileage may not be the right car for your needs... iv'e had no issues with rattles which drive me more crazy than the road noise..............

so anyway to get to the point, its sexy, its fast,it will turn heads..
and you will never get tired of pushing that little white start button!!

I'm paying only $57.00/mo for full coverage. Of course, I'm an old guy, who drives conservatively and has a clean record. Age does have its advantages.

and im a 21 year ol male, with a spotless driving record, a excellent credit score....exc..... and just because im not a certain number (age) my insurance gets shafted cuz a majority of ppl my age, act stupid and wreck and speed and get thrown in jail exc...and causing hell for good drivers under the age of 25..... damn it, it wont stop me from getting one but it is a factor that will wear on you after a while

1. Go take a test drive. Try out the different trim levels. See if you even like the car at all.
Oh, right... you drive an Accent. You'll like it.

2. You're keeping your Accent for economical driving. Let's stop talking about fuel economy in the Z because those two concepts are an oxymoron for anyone other than those who can keep the revs below 3,000 and drive exactly the speed limit on extended highway runs.

3. Call your insurance agent to get an accurate quote on what insuring a Z would cost for you. Call a few other companies to price shop. There are many variables that determine what one person pays versus another.

4. Consider a pre-owned Z. If enough people who are concerned about fuel prices start dumping their gas-hogs, there should be some cars floating around that you can pick up at a good price and not take the depreciation hit.

5. Call your bank or credit union and see what you're approved for. Many financial institutions have online tools that can help you figure out what your monthly payment would be on the car you're thinking of purchasing.
