I think you can get a used Cayman S for around the same price as a new 370Z. If you don't have a problem with getting a used Porsche and can afford it, you should go for it. Personally, if I had to choose between a used Cayman S and a new 370Z, I would go for the Porsche. To each his own though. |

I have a lot of seat time in the caymen S, and 350Zs. A limited amount in the 370. I can't justify the difference in price as they are so similar (I refuse to get a used sports car as I am extremely anal about my cars)
If I don't get nav do I still get the nice entertainment center? I don't really need the nav but love the looks of the entertainment center, which I thought was only available if I got the nav system. |

If you can live without it and buy an aftermarket one, it will be easier to find a car with all the options you want on it. Good luck |

Touring and sport at least. Nav is cool. If you get a 2011, the back up cam will be included in the nav package.
Go to the Nissan website and "build" your vehicle and then you can compare the features and decide what you want, including color. Then you can see if it's worth the price of options since you're going to get a sweet deal on it anyway. Happy shopping.

I definitely regret not getting the sports package. The wheels/tires + brake kit cost more than the entire sports package if you were to get them seperately. In addition to those, you get the LSD, front and rear spoilers, and Synchro Rev Match (if you get the 6MT). |

That is as close as you will get to the Porsche, and after looking at both, quite frankly, the difference didn't exist in my opinion. Sure, I bet porsche killed more purebred cows to make it than Nissan did, but I don't care about that, really. Now granted, I didn't drive the porsche, but the Z looked every bit as nice inside. Be careful of banks, 2 banks screwed me over before a 3rd financed me when I bought my car. (Corvette, not 370Z, but I did look at the Z's as mentioned, just my disclaimer there^) I would also get NAV for sure. I passed on it in my Z, because the 'vette doesn't have the greatest NAV system, and frankly, I think it "dates" the car, but the 370'z is well done. Get it. |

I think fully loaded is best if possible, I lucked out with mine, used with every option except the over priced special brake pads in a great color combo with one owner.
The Nav offers nice extra controls over the car, a trip computer and a iPod interface and HD music player in addition to the GPS. The Cayman S PDK would have been my first choice, but i was tired of out of town service.

Besides, maybe OP is hung up on wanting a new car. I know I was. Never owned one before or had anyone in my immediate family who did. I wanted the experience. Perhapse OP does too. Quote:
A Cayman S with PDK. That is rediculously expensive. You won't find one stripped out, but with PDK. Plan on 70-80K out the door after TTL on that if you buy it new. |

You kill me, themann! OP, the Z looks great in every color, I think. Sounds like you'll be able to view it in person in several colors. I like the Pearl White, even though I didn't think I would (bought mine used). I even like the 70 shades of gray. But since there are so many versions of gray, you might want red, blue, white or black for the car stands out from the crowd a bit. Let us know what you choose!
