I'm not saying I'd do this,

I've brought this up before only because I may face this decision. Suppose I had to let the 2009 Z go. I looked at the Infiniti G37 Coupe six speed. Is that a fair compromise? Maybe, but the base model came out to $37,500 and my Z was $29.3K. It seems like too much money for a kind of Z with a back seat.

If you need a backseat, then it's priceless.

Inspector71 03-11-2011 01:04 PM

Probably not a realistic post

I checked the iinternet asking price in my area among several dealers. The base G37 asking price is a tad over $42K rendering the point moot. Way out of my price range.

:iagree:

most get a Z if they do not need it :) :tiphat:

I have no kids ^^

Go used.

unless you must have the G37C, keep your Z. i dont see a point comparing these two cars.

If you are NEEDING a backseat and you are looking at the G37; I say look at used; you should be able to find something either comparable to 32k or so nicely loaded:

I went by your state and went with a 150mi radius (I live in TX so there are TONS of G37s around here (especially in DFW)) but....I found this for under 29k and it's not bad. if you expand further; you find them with lower mileage and cheaper...go figure:

2008 Infiniti G37 Sport, $27,176 - Cars.com

i you need a back seat and want to stay around $30K - you could always look at a mustang

G's are great cars to lease.

Great handle. I looked at your car and you have a really nice one. You did well. For now, I'm doing nothing. I am upside down in the Z and need to finish paying off my debt before I go there. I compared the prices of a lot of cars and decided it wasn't worth it. I love the Z except during our three months of winter. At this point, I want to pay it off and get a second daily driver. Again, great responses.

If you need a back seat, get a GTR.

maybe now we're talking performance sedan, which may be more expensive.

I arrived at the Z as the best bang for the buck performance sports car.

It handles great and is quick. Plus it looks good.

What does your new ride need to be? more room? what else?
