I just bought a new 370z last week, and noticed that the doors automatically unlock when the engine is turned off. I didn't like this and read in the OM (section 3-5 and 3-6) how to disable auto unlock (close door, ignition on, hold 'unlock' for 5 seconds). The doors no longer unlocked when the engine was turned off. After a few days I changed my mind and tried to re-enable the auto unlock feature. But the procedure in the OM did not work and the doors stayed locked when the engine was turned off.
So I tried some alternatives, like holding the 'lock' button instead of the 'unlock' button for 5 seconds. Didn't work. I tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes thinking the computer would 'reset' to factory default. Didn't work. So I googled '370z problems' and found this site ![]() Searched the threads, but didn't find anything and was hoping someone might know how to restore/reset to the original setting. If not, I'll take it to the dealer, but I'd like know if there's a simple fix before doing that. Thanks for any help or suggestions. Last edited by samtg; 03-09-2011 at 07:30 AM. Reason: fix typos |
