I have to laugh at their "bone-shaking" ride comment. The 370Z has better damping on road or track than my G35 coupe and I actually find the balance Nissan achieve unmatched at or near the price-point. It could be a bit smoother, but talk about hyperbole.

The GT seems like a lame trim pack you don't even get much extra. Plus I herd the revisions were done to all 2011 370's. They ate obviously going to make slight improvements to them over the years. Revisions being the dampers, the sound proofing, optional back up camera.

But in the end all they seem to be doing is delaying the release of another TT Z! They have the abilities I don't understand why it's not already done!
They don't offer a TT Z because it might take sales away and compete against the GT-R. Now if they go somewhere in between, like say, 50 to 60k, then there might be a shot. Then again, the whole mantra of the Z is an affordable sports car for the masses. TTing it would defeat the purpose.

I agree.... maybe it is growing on me too... lol

In addition, there's a reason why the GT edition the press car is shown in white... gorgeous. (and YES, I am biased.... hehe.... Pearl White FTW!!! )

Some of the forum members that subscribe to EVO may have already read this, but the magazine ran a group test this month with some quite interesting results.

They had managed to get hold of a 370GT Edition for the test and although my first thought was that it was out of it's depth in this company, they gave it 4 and half stars out of 5.

They made the usual comments about the interior not being at the same level as the German cars, but were generous in praise for most other aspects.

Not suprisingly they placed the Cayman and the BMW joint first. More surprisingly they placed the 370 3rd and the TTRS last.

The other surprise was when they hot lapped them around their home track the Bedford Autodrome. The times were:

Cayman: 125.5
BMW: 125.9
370z: 127.1
TTRS: 127.3

The previous time they had clocked for a basic 370z was 128.7, so the suspension changes made by the technical team at Cranfield would appear to have improved the car, at least on the track.

They said that the TTRS was hindered by it's (standard) 18'' wheels, which is even more remarkable when you consider the list price for each car and the 'as tested' price.

List price (as tested):

Cayman: £51728 (£61402)
BMW: £40020 (£45340)
370z: £35000 (£35000)
TTRS: £45840 (£52945)

Obviously 53k doesn't get you a set of 19'' wheels for a TTRS!

Look at the cornering speeds,
370z is same as or 2nd to the Cayman on the fast carners, must be why the lap time has improved so much from original 370z.
Quite an achievement consideriing Cayman C of G and rear traction advantage.

Honestly not impressed, I would much rather keep my 40th.

The only option I would have is the rear camera(which now I have) and the Nissan satellite(which is also have the a kenwood with Garmin which I would rather have)

Is says improved suspension, for ride comfort and speed handling, but I found nothing about that.

Like it was said, a few things and a new name to raise prices.
