370Z Rally Car
Now this is what I'm talking about! Driven by Chris Van Woensel. If you search his vids, he drove a 350Z before this car.
huh, first time seeing a rally Z. :D
That's pretty cool.
lol I know that guy, nice guy.
up untill now most of the time he had to quit the race. he is having problems with the water temperature rising too much last time I saw him. which I find hilarious. he had the engine enlarged and toughened. suspension, tires, oil cooler, custom exhaust and all the other gizmos involving rally cars. buuuut his radiator is still stock. oh yes his car is actually white, it is covered in stickers. also he has the stillen gen3 intake and fast intentions LTH. |

it is cheaper than repainting the car. I just know. I mean I saw this car go from stock to just empty shell. everything out of it. naked Z was sexy. pictures of the car taken by my shitty camera. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b.../Image0017.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b.../Image0016.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b.../Image0015.jpg |
hahaha, i think he's using the red vinyl to protect the white paint from rock chips... :icon14:
ofcourse you never know when he might want to go back to stock :roflpuke2:
He actually was sad that we didn't meet sooner, he actually wanted the 7AT because it would of been easier to make a sequential gearbox(or so he said) interior shot http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b.../Image0018.jpg |
All I can say is that is awesome, now who will step up for a sequential box in their street driven Z.
i like this....very nice
haha i was gonna say maybe it was vinyl, but i couldn't tell from the videos. i can definitely see wrapping a rally car in vinyl being a good idea.
bad ***!!!
Love this thread! Rep points given out.
awesome! Now where can I get a sequential gearbox for my car? :driving:
Nice vids!
What's up with the roof scoop? Extra down force?

What did he do with the e-brake? Install a hydraulic brake? I'd love to hear how that was done.
Cool
interesting. I wouldn't think a Z would be a very good platform to build a rally car from, but it looks like he's going with it.

350Z rally
They have been rallying 350Z's in Holland for the last couple of years. There is been a separate class for 350Z's within the Dutch National Rally Championship called the 350Z Challenge. Some random info about the challenge, for this year all cars have been modified to be flex fuel capable as they will be running on "M85", bio-methanol
No word on when they will switch to 370Z's though... Here's a clip: |
Nice! Thanks!:icon18:

All news to me and it sounds great to me too.

Really cool thanks for posting.

WTB AWB swap? :)

The Japanese tuner Jun built an AWD 350Z by stealing the AWD system from an R-32 and installing a holinger 6-speed sequential gear box. I don't think he had rallying in mind as the car sits about 1 inch off the ground but with a different suspension setup it would be pretty awesome.
Nissan 350z R - AWD Import & Tuner Car - Super Street P.S. if you look in from the outside the front wheel area on our cars you will see that they actually left space for front axles. No one really knows what they were considering or if it was just a reflex action from designing the G37. |
incredible.
The 350z video is awesome. That'd be really fun to shoot.

part of the lower body structure is shared between 370 and G37, just like it was for 350 and G35. Just how much and which parts specifically, I don't know. But this would explain why there is room for front axles even if they will never be offered on a 370. |
